An essay written to accompany an artistic research project loops back and becomes part of the project's materiality. An early draft of the project’s research essay was rewritten in a loose scrawl. The handwritten pages were scanned and digitally assembled into a composite image spanning 24 meters by 2 meters, designed specifically for the gallery’s street-facing windows. The text ‘the aphlabet has betrayed me,’ deliberately misspelled and typeset in bold lowercase lettering, overlays the digitized handwriting.
